If you’ve not yet treated yourself to the Red Dot 10×10 Exhibit and the Members Exhibit at ARTWORKS-Trenton, be forewarned: This coming week is your LAST CHANCE to see it in person. It is scheduled to close Jan. 7. However, the exhibit is running virtually online at 10×10.artworkstrenton.org.

Each year, Jerry’s Artarama donates 100 free 10″x10″ canvases that Artworks distributes to artists to create works for the exhibit, which is a fundraiser. “The works range from children’s refrigerator art to works by well known artists in the area,” said artistic director Addison Vincent Pfeiffer. “It’s a great way for novice artists to test the waters of displaying their art, and established artists to showcase their talents and support our programming. For the collectors, it’s a wonderful way to collect a work by that artist you may not be able to afford otherwise, or support a budding artist with the confidence that their artwork is sought after.”

According to Pfeiffer, 175 works were submitted and, at the time of this writing, 74 had been sold and were going fast thanks to the virtual exhibit where, until January 7, the works can be purchased directly online as Pfeiffer says, “from anywhere in the world.” Works purchased online can be picked up during regular business hours or, for an additional fee, have them shipped. Although purchase of works will end on January 7, the virtual exhibit will continue to run online.
