KINGSTON, N.Y.— The Arts Society of Kingston’s “Choreography on the Edge” dance performances will take place from Jan. 27 to Jan. 29 at 97 Broadway.
Since 1990, the performances have allowed professional choreographers and dancers to experiment with new concepts.
The series will feature a variety of dancing styles and techniques like modern dance, contemporary ballet and cultural motifs. This year’s performers, performing solo or in duets and trios, are Laura Ward’s Octavia Cup Dance Theatre in collaboration with UK-based Oceans All Over, Anna Librata of the Hudson Valley Flamenco Festival and Joelle Van Sickle.
Local performers include Arianna Noble and Bella O’Connell, Gabrielle Gregory, Sharon Penz, Olivia Idella Martin, Sara Senecal, Laura Teeter and Haley Kwak.
The performances will be held at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets start at $20 and are $15 for students, seniors and members. Children can attend for free.
